A leader in the digiscoping field, Swarovski has developed two easy-to-use digital adapters so that most digital cameras can now be used with their scopes. Spotting-scope zooming is possible while attached. The adapters can be quickly removed for transportation. The Digital Camera Adapter (DCA) is fitted directly to the spotting-scope eyepiece, while the Digital Camera Base (DCB) allows the camera to be swung from normal observation to photography positions in a matter of seconds.
The DCA is designed to be used with the new "S" eyepieces (20xSW, 30xSW, 45xSW, 20-60xS) which fit both current scopes and older gray AT80 and ST80 models. The DCA attaches to the camera's filter threads (not all digital cameras have this feature). An advantage of this adapter in a group situation is that it allows the use of the rotating eyecup for observation.

The DCB will not work with the older, gray-bodied Swarovski spotting scopes. It will work, however, with the current green-armored "S" models. The DCB is suitable for nearly all digital cameras with a tripod connection thread. This adapter is preferred by wildlife and landscape photographers for whom low weight, stability, and vibration damping are important. Not as versatile as the DCA if eyecup position needs to be changed frequently.
