Beaumont Holiday Cottages, Charente Maritime
Beaumont, as its name suggests, is situated on a rise in the land which overlooks the coastal plane of the Atlantic seaboard with its landscape of winding rivers, sunflower fields and oyster beds. Beaumont is situated at the edge of the vast nature reserve of Moëze, several hundreds of hectares of old salt marshes which are home to an astonishing variety of wildlife. Their site provides a list.

Maison Arc-En-Ciel, Dordogne-France
They provide a high standard of accommodation in self-catering gites for between 6-8 people each, plus two bed & breakfast rooms (with private facilities) in the main house. Over 54 different bird species breed on or around their land and many migrants pass through. You can also bird Le Teich Bird Sanctuary near Bordeaux which is open all year and is an ideal spot for seeing migrating birds and those living in the area. At certain times of year they have several ornithologists on site to give advice and information on the bird life in our area, as well as bats, butterflies and moths.
