Kibbutz Centre for Bird Watching
Kibbutz Lotan, nestled in the heart of the Arava Valley, between the Negev plateau and the red Edom mountains of Jordan, is ideally poised to host birders visiting the southern deserts of Israel. Lotan has been running birding tours here since 1995, in partnership with English bird guide and artist, James Smith.

All WINGS leaders have varied interests in natural history and other more or less closely related fields, but the timing and itinerary of their trips are dictated almost entirely by ornithological considerations. Tours not offered every year.
